It seems like augmented reality is everywhere this year.  From Contagious, here’s another online use from Brazil; release your ‘Doritos Lover’ creature from the crisp pack and then you can upload it to an Orkut profile to show your friends.  The best thing is that with some very intelligent built in coding, the little lovers have a mind of their own and can interact with other people’s Doritos Lovers - there’s over 18 trillion possible combinations of interaction!  Augmented reality is such a massive change in the way that packaging design and marketing can influence how people purchase products, hopefully we will see it more and more in the UK.
